There are currently two opportunities available to join the team at Gumdrop. We are looking for a Social Media Intern and a sales Rep to work with us on the sale of the Gumdrop Bins.

Gumdrop Ltd is a unique company specialising in chewing gum recycling! Through our new Technology we create Gum-tec® compounds for the rubber and plastics Industry. As well as our own range of products.

GUMDROP SALES REPRESENTATIVE

The Role:

Gumdrop Ltd is looking for a passionate, energetic and driven individual to join our small, dynamic team.  You will help to promote our unique product and service in the UK and abroad, based in our London office and working remotely.

You will be responsible for selling Gumdrop Bin Memberships, helping to contribute to a greener future.  Our innovative Gumdrop Bin is at the forefront of our mission to bring about behavioural change, creating a cleaner environment and reducing the use of virgin materials through recycling.

You will be tasked with generating and winning sales in four target sectors: Education, Retail & Leisure, Government and Transport.  You will establish and nurture relationships with new clients of small to medium size in the target sectors, seeking to understand their needs and guiding them towards the most suitable membership offerings. You will maintain and seek to build on existing client relationships ensuring continuity of service and satisfaction.  You will be an important member of the Gumdrop team, sharing insights gained from clients on product take-up and market opportunities, regularly updating our Salesforce database.

You will possess a passion for a cleaner, greener planet and using your strong interpersonal skills, will engage with clients to share that passion, promoting Gumdrop’s ethos.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify new clients – generate and convert new leads
  • Maintain and build upon existing client relationships
  • Follow up on existing sales leads
  • Build sector sales lists and update Salesforce database
  • Seek out new opportunities to grow the geographical reach of Gumdrop
  • Assist in developing sales strategy

Eligibility:

  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English
  • Passionate about the environment, sustainability and a greener future
  • Previous experience and results in a sales-based role
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Word, ideally experienced in using Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Terms:

  • A 6-month trial period leading to a permanent position
  • Basic salary plus commission on sales, dependent upon previous experience

SOCIAL MEDIA Internship

The Role:

Gumdrop is looking for a passionate and creative Social Media Intern for an initial 3 month period to help with the day-to-day management of our social media channels. Potential to extend based on performance.

You will be working closely with the team at Gumdrop in order to create exciting social media content. You will be in charge of weekly content calendars, schedule posts and gather insights to inform the ongoing social media content strategy for Gumdrop. The successful candidate requires excellent attention to detail, great organisation skills and, of course, a passion for social media and to be in the loop of all the latest trends.

Responsibilities:

  • Vision and ideas for creating innovative and exciting content for social media accounts
  • Creating artwork and graphics for social media content
  • Producing content calendars
  • Scheduling content on social media channels, posting in real time and via scheduling tools.
  • Assisting with the day-to-day running and management of our social media channels across Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn.
  • Community management, interacting with followers online and providing commentary
  • Identifying new social trends we can incorporate into our content strategy.
  • Generating monthly performance reports based on KPI’s

We Are Looking For:

  • Confident working to tight deadlines.
  • A digital native
  • Comfortable with the nuances of each platform.
  • Strong communication skills, both written, verbal and pictorial.
  • A love and passion for all things social.

Eligibility:

  • You must have written and spoken proficiency in English
  • You are set up to work from home and able to commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week
  • A Portfolio or examples of work in this field, a personal following or blog would also apply
  • Proficient in Indesign, Illustrator, photoshop, excel and Microsoft word

Terms:

This is an internship. Only expenses related to the role will be covered. If kept on after the initial 3 month period then we would be happy to discuss a salary based role.
