Launch Details:
On Wednesday 29th January 2014 representatives from Swansea Council Keep Wales Tidy’s and Gumdrop Ltd teamed up to launch the Gumdrop bins across the city centre. The launch got off to a fantastic start in Mumbles, one of the outer districts of Swansea, where the team met up with local press to talk to them about the Gumdrop process, Keep Wales Tidy’s ‘Tidy Town’ initiative, and take lots of lovely photographs of the Gumdrops for use in local news articles. Gumdrop Ltd representatives then took to the streets to carry out questionnaires, give out badges, and have a general chin wag with the people of Swansea to answer their questions about recycling chewing gum, and get them involved in the Gumdrop process. The launch got the Gumdrops off to a great start with lots of positive feedback from locals and shopkeepers throughout Mumbles. There was also lots of interest in the Gumdrops from the students in Uplands, who were particular fans of our lovely pink badges.
